Join Me in Remembering Nancy Sue Schomp
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Nancy Sue Schomp is one of those people. Nancy passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 76.
Nancy was born to parents Rowe and DayAlva Ross on December 30, 1939 in Iraan, TX. She grew up as the elder of two sisters and attended Polytechnic High School, Fort Worth, TX and graduated from Texas Christian University. Nancy married Robert Schomp in 1960, and the couple had four children. Nancy taught Elementary Education for 30 years until her retirement in 2000.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Schomp; her sons, Tim and David Schomp; her daughters, Sara Hamilton and Erin Schomp; eleven grandchildren; a great-grandson due in December and her sister Rowe Ann Biggs. She is preceded in death by her parents DayAlva (Rossie) and Rowe L. Ross and her grandson Kenneth Day Schomp.
A family graveside service will take place on Friday, August 5th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Greenwood Funeral Home on Friday, 08/05/16 at 1:30pm followed by a short gathering with the family.
